Community Heroes Awards
Platform’s annual Community Heroes Awards celebrate the power of people – those who create real change, whether individually or as part of a group.
Awards include Going the Extra Mile, Young Person, Customer Involvement, Community Partnership – plus two new categories for 2026: Green Impact and Celebrating Diversity.
Celebrating the Power of People in Our Communities
Every day across our communities, remarkable people are doing incredible things from helping neighbours and running activities, to supporting the environment, or creating more inclusive spaces.
What they all have in common is that they represent the power of people.
The Platform Community Heroes Awards celebrate the customers, volunteers, groups and partners who go above and beyond to support others. Whether as individuals or as part of a team, these everyday heroes show us the power of people – and how much stronger our communities can be when we work together.
Congratulations to all our Community Heroes Awards 2026 winners.
On Wednesday, 1 July, we premiered the video of the Platform Community Heroes Awards winners. This year’s awards celebrate the power of people and groups making a real difference in their communities. From supporting neighbours and bringing people together to creating positive change where they live, every winner has an inspiring story to share.
Choosing the winners was not easy, with so many outstanding nominations showing the kindness, commitment and community spirit found across Platform.
Watch the Community Heroes Awards 2026 film and join us in celebrating our winners and the difference they have made.

Nominees must either live in Platform homes, or volunteer for Platform. The one exception to this is the Community Partnership Award, which is open to any individual or group making a difference for Platform communities.

We’ll let you know and also contact the person or group. We’ll ask them to share their story and take an associated image for publicity.
A panel of judges including a member of our Customer Voice Panel will initially choose a shortlist. Final winners for each of the Award categories listed will be selected from the initial shortlist.
All Award winners will receive a trophy and voucher, plus everyone nominated will receive a certificate in recognition of their contributions.
