How to find and apply for a home

There are various ways of moving home into a Platform Housing Group property and this is usually via; Choice Based Lettings, Platform Places or a Mutual exchange.

Choice Based Lettings Most of our homes are let through choice-based lettings schemes, managed by your local council. To apply, you’ll need to register and bid for properties via their website or portal. Please visit your local council’s website for details on how to apply and eligibility criteria.

Platform Places showcases our available homes for rent. Whether you're looking for a family house, a flat, or supported accommodation, you can explore current listings and find a place to call home.

Mutual exchange is a home-swapping scheme for social housing tenants. It allows two or more tenants to exchange their homes with each other, provided they meet eligibility criteria and have approval from their landlords. It’s a great way to find a home that better suits your needs without waiting on a housing list.

Retirement Villages offer independent living for over-55s, with private apartments, 24/7 support, communal spaces, and access to local services, promoting wellbeing and community. To be eligible to apply you must be aged 60 or 55+ with identified care/support needs.
