Leaving your Home in Good Condition

We want to make moving out of your home as easy as possible. Before your tenancy ends, it's important to make sure the property is left clean, clear, and in good condition. This helps avoid any extra charges and ensures a smooth handover for the next customer.

Gifting at the end of your tenancy

When you end your tenancy, for yourself or a family member, you can choose to gift/leave items in the home with agreement.

Those items include carpets, laminate, wooden or tiled flooring along with other items not provided by Platform as long as the items are safe and are of a reasonable standard (i.e. clean, hazard and damage free).

We are unable to accept white goods and electrical items. If the household appliances are in good condition, please call the British Heart Foundation on 0800 2500024 or visit their website at www.bhf.org.uk to arrange a free collection.

If you'd like to gift/leave any items in your home when you move out, you need to request a Gifting Inspection as part of your tenancy termination.  To arrange this, please email: emptyproperties@platformhg.com

Please refer to the sections above for more information about giving notice.
