Platform Retirement Properties

Platform offers self-contained apartments within 13 large complexes called retirement villages across the country alongside age-appropriate support delivered through an enhanced housing management service, our Retirement Housing Officers.
These complexes provide access to visiting or onsite care services from partner organisations, access to day and night emergency alarm systems and response and lots of different communal/shared facilities.

Retirement Apartments

Every customer has a self-contained apartment designed for independent living, with a separate bedroom, living space, kitchen and an accessible wet-room bathroom.

Homes are easy to manage and created with later life in mind, offering privacy and comfort while keeping you close to on-site support and village facilities when you want them.

To help maintain safety and suitability, we carry out regular checks including a monthly property check and an annual Tenancy Health Check.

Older residents gather in a decorated communal room for a celebration. Two women dance together in the centre while others sit nearby watching, chatting, and clapping, with some using wheelchairs or walking frames.

Your Retirement Housing Officer

Your Retirement Housing Officer is there to provide practical support and reassurance as part of the village’s enhanced housing management service. With staff on site 24 hours a day, all year round, you’ll have access to help when you need it, as well as regular planned contact to check in and offer support.

Retirement Housing Officers can help with tenancy and rent queries, organise repairs, encourage involvement in social activities, and make sure essential records and compliance checks are kept up to date. They work as part of a wider team, so you may see your named officer or another team member during regular visits and contact, ensuring consistent support and continuity.
