Everyday support you can rely on

At Platform Retirement properties, support is there to help with everyday life, while residents stay independent and in control. This may include wellbeing advice, help with small day-to-day concerns, support to contact health services, or help with simple tasks like using a phone or making an appointment.

Knowing someone is available if needed can give reassurance to residents and peace of mind to their families.

What support looks like in everyday life

This video shares the experiences of residents and colleagues, offering a genuine insight into the services and activities available at Platform Retirement properties.

You’ll hear how support works in practice, from having someone available for advice or reassurance, to the role activities play in building confidence, friendships and wellbeing. The video also reflects the importance of choice, showing how residents remain in control of how they live, while knowing help and connection are close by.

I was quite shy when I first moved in. It took me a while, but now I come out more, talk to people, and I feel much more confident.

Activities you can choose to join

Residents can choose to take part in activities that help people stay active, meet others and feel part of a community. Activities are friendly and relaxed, and there is no pressure to join in.

These may include coffee mornings, shared meals, games like bingo, craft sessions, gardening and social events. Some residents enjoy coming along regularly, while others prefer to join in now and then. Both are welcomed and respected.
