World Water Day 2026
We’re joining organisations around the world in recognising World Water Day, an important reminder of how vital water is in our daily lives, and in our homes. We’re marking the day by helping to raise awareness about the importance of using our water resources wisely and helping our customers to adopt sustainable water saving practices. More efficient use of water not only safeguards the environment but can also help reduce household bills
Using water responsibly means being aware of how much water we use and making small changes that can collectively make a big impact on water conservation.
Water shortages are becoming a growing challenge in the UK. Demand is rising while climate change is placing increasing pressure on water supplies. Here are a few simple ways to use water more efficiently at home:
World Water Day is an opportunity for us to be mindful of our water use and to consider what actions we can all make to reduce our water consumption. We’re continuing to play our part by:
• Carrying out proactive repairs and maintenance to prevent leaks
• Sharing tips and resources to encourage sustainable habits
• Integrating water‑efficient features into new developments
