Platform Housing Group are delighted to introduce Knight Court, a retirement living scheme just off Sebright Road in the village of Woverley, approximately 2 miles north of the large market town of Kidderminster.

To be eligible you need to be aged 60+ or 55+ if you are in receipt of PIP/DLA benefits.

Knight Court has 28 one bedroom apartments suitable for single applicants or couples. There is non-resident management staff and 24 hour Careline alarm service.   There is a lift to get to the upper floors (although applicants for upper floor apartments must be able to safely use the stairs in the event of an emergency), dining room, communal lounge, laundry room, guest facilities and a salon for a visiting hairdresser.  Residents can use these communal facilities and enjoy the beautiful gardens.   

Woverley is surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding, with easy access to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, Kingsford Forest Park, the National Trust owned Kinver Edge and Bodenham Arboretum.

One month’s rent in advance is required on the tenancy start date of £716.58 (our preferred method of payment is Direct Debit). Housing Benefit and Universal Credit is accepted.

Please note that if you are claiming Housing Benefit or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include a £3.03pcm administration charge, £3.60pcm personal alarm charge, £8.17pcm personal water charge, £0.56pcm site licence charge and £7.85pcm support charge. A Lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for Housing Benefits payments.

If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form.

You will be offered a starter tenancy and if there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.

Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.  

If you are a current Private Tenant, Council Tenant or a Housing Association Tenant / (Platform Housing Group Tenant) you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. You will only need to give Notice if you have been informed that you are being considered/offered a property. If you have any further questions, please contact your landlord.

Please note all properties are unfurnished and Platform Housing Group does not cover your contents as part of the tenancy agreement. Contents insurance is the responsibility of the tenant.
