You will be required to pay one month’s rent in advance on the tenancy start day £1393.52. Please note our preferred method of payment is via Direct Debit and we accept Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
Please note if you intend to claim Housing Element of Universal Credit or Housing Benefit there are service charges of up to £238.52pcm that would not be covered by these benefits.
If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for a lifetime affordable rent tenancy.
Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy. If you are a current private tenant, council tenant or a housing association tenant you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. If you are a current tenant of Platform Housing Group, you will be required to give 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice.
