Platform Housing has the Retirement Living Village of Bilford Court in the Blackpole area of the City of Worcester.
Bilford Court has 31, one bedroom apartments suitable for one person or a couple. All are fully self contained with use of a communal lounge and laundry room. There is a guest suite where visiting friends and family can stay overnight.
Set within beautiful communal gardens, and various amenities nearby such as the Blackpole and Elgar retails parks you don’t have to go far to find what you need. A regular bus service can take you into the city centre.
All apartments have central heating and fitted with an alarm system to summon help in an emergency.
Each apartment is self contained, unfurnished and the main heating is by a community scheme.
To be eligible you must be aged 60+ or 55 plus and in receipt of personal independence payments or disability living allowance.

You will be required to pay £750.95, one month’s rent in advance prior to the tenancy start day. Please note our preferred method of payment is via Direct Debit and we accept Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
Please note if you intend to claim Housing Element of Universal Credit or Housing Benefit there are service charges of up to £62.22pcm that would not be covered by these benefits. This includes £7.10pcm for administration, £46.87pcm for heating, £0.46pcm for a communal TV licence and £7.79pcm towards support.
If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy. If you are a current private tenant, council tenant or a housing association tenant you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. If you are a current tenant of Platform Housing Group, you will be required to give 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. You will only need to give notice if you have been informed that you are being considered/offered a property. If you have any further questions, please contact your landlord.
If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form. At this stage the Lettings Officer will confirm the rent and service charges.
