We've been shortlisted in the 2024 Housing Digital Innovation Awards in two categories, Most Innovative Approach to Resident Welfare and Best Use of AI in Housing.  We're also in the running for Best Repairs and Maintenance Innovation with Voicescape.

The awards aim to recognise and champion innovation within the UK housing sector and the supply chain that supports it.

The winners will be unveiled at a ceremony on Thursday 8 February at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

Kriss Akabusi MBE - famed for smashing the 400 metre hurdles record in the 1990 European Championship which had stood for a remarkable 22 years – will host this year’s awards; Kriss is regularly consulted on a variety of radio and television programmes, discussing topics ranging from sport to business. He is also a regular contributor to Sky News’ Paper Review Programme.

Jon Cocker, Chief Information Officer at Platform Housing Group said : “To be shortlisted at this year’s awards is extremely well deserved for those teams who have worked on these projects.  They show us that using artificial intelligence – or AI – has many benefits for both Platform Housing Group and the wider housing arena; showcasing them at these awards will certainly increase the sector’s performance.  We wish them – and everyone at the awards – they very best of luck!”

Our award entry for Artificial Intelligence included using technology to identify which customers are more likely to be classed as ‘silent’ and therefore require urgent tenancy health checks.  The welfare entry focussed on the confident use of AI, machine learning and predictive analytics to ensure customer welfare continues to be a priority.

Jon concluded: “These awards are an important opportunity to take a step back and review how far we’ve come and share inspiration for where we go next in our data development.  This shortlisting acknowledges Platform’s strong commitment to deliver on our technological targets.”
