We have donated £350 to the White Hart Community Groups in Warwickshire to help them support people in their local area with food parcels and a warm space community welcome.

The donation will enable White Hart Community Groups to address fundamental need within the local community. One key area of focus will be the enhancement of their food bank and fridge facilities, which is crucial to enable them to continue offering food parcels and warm spaces to local families facing significant, ongoing financial challenges.

Platform’s Chief Operations Officer, Marion Duffy expressed the housing association’s commitment to supporting organisations to help deliver positive change within local communities. “With the cost of living continuing to be a daily challenge for many of our customers, it’s great that Platform can help support organisations like White Hart Community Groups with their vital efforts to help those in need for longer periods of time.”

Platform’s Customer Voice Panel member, Kyran who went along to present the donation said, “It’s great to see what Platform is doing to help in local communities, as a donation to a group like this is so crucial to keep all of their amazing projects going to help people through the winter period.”

White Hart Community Groups, with a mission centred around community welfare, has already established itself as a pillar of support in the area. Our donation will help them extend their reach and offer assistance to even more families in need.

Chair of Trustees and Voluntary Manager at the White Hart Community Group’s Centre, Martin Horner said, “We would like to thank Platform for their generous Community Kindness donation which will help to fund our warm spaces project - giving people in the community, who are lonely and can’t afford to have the heating on during the day, a warm, friendly and welcoming place to meet others and get refreshments.”
