Platform Housing Group – one of the largest housing associations in the country - has acquired 150 occupied homes from a housing association in Heyford Park, near Bicester increasing their housing stock in Oxfordshire.

Located in Upper Heyford, the homes which have been purchased from Heyford Regeneration Ltd, are part of an ongoing landmark regeneration project, on a former 1,000-acre RAF base.

The deal sees Platform take on the ownership and management of 103 socially rented homes and 47 shared ownership properties.

Platform Housing Group’s Chief Executive, Elizabeth Froude (pictured above) said, “The acquisition of these high quality homes, in an area of high demand, marks another step forward in our ambitious growth strategy. It also solidifies our commitment to the region and to our key local authority partners in Oxfordshire.”

Platform already own around 100 homes in the area and recently began work to build 200 new properties; 105 for rent, 12 for rent to buy and 83 shared ownership homes in Carterton, which is the Group’s largest development to date in Oxfordshire, and a continuation of their strategic partnership with Homes England.

Partner Jonathan Cox, Anthony Collins Solicitors, who worked on the acquisition for Platform said, “We are proud to have assisted Platform on such a strategic purchase for their Group.”
