We have donated £250 to the Lighthouse Family Centre in Worcester as part of our annual Christmas Kindness campaign. This year the campaign is supporting more than 150 charities and organisations that offer vital help to people who may be facing hardship, particularly during the festive season.

The Lighthouse Family Centre is a trusted hub for families, offering compassionate support through high quality childcare, inclusive youth provision and accessible community services.  Rooted in connection, care and collaboration, the Centre provides a safe and welcoming space where children can flourish, parents feel supported and the wider community can come together.

Our donation will help fund a three course Christmas lunch for children, along with a present for each child, offering a moment of joy and connection for families.

Clare Dalton, Managing Director of the Lighthouse Family Centre said: “This donation will help us give children a Christmas celebration filled with warmth, good food and the excitement of receiving a gift.  For many families, this time of year can be incredibly tough, so knowing that their children can enjoy a special meal and a present means more than words can say.  Platform’s support helps us continue lighting the way for families in our community.”

Amid rising costs and increasing need, community organisations like the Lighthouse Family Centre continue to provide essential support and small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Tony King, one of our Board members said: “Our Christmas Kindness campaign supports organisations across all our neighbourhoods who play a crucial role in helping our customers and communities.  The Lighthouse Family Centre provides a lifeline for families in Worcester, creating safe spaces, vital services and moments of joy.  We’re pleased our donation can help bring festive cheer to local children this Christmas.”
