Malvern Hills

Young people’s services

For young people at risk of homelessness we provide temporary accommodation and housing support services through The Foyer in Malvern and supported accommodation in Worcester.
Offering practical life skills, we aim to enable young people to thrive and be able to sustain a permanent tenancy when they move on from our services into adulthood.

Malvern Hills Foyer

Malvern Hills Foyer, based close to Malvern Link within close walking distance to amenities, provides housing and support services to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. 

 

Malvern Hills Foyer is suitable for single young people who:

  • Have no dependent children living with them
  • Must be 16-21 years or up to 25 years if a Care Leaver
  • Have a local connection to Malvern Hills District, although applications from outside can be considered
  • Can be in receipt of Universal Credit and/or legacy benefits.
  • Have a need for housing related support

Malvern Hills Foyer offers:

  • A quiet location with easy access to local amenities and transport links.
  • A part furnished room for your personal use with shared facilities such as bathrooms, lounge, kitchen, IT suite and laundry
  • Plenty of off road parking
  • A safe secure home, with door entry access with CCTV monitoring in place
  • A dedicated team of Youth Development Coaches (on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) who provide housing related support to all customers
  • Lifeskills training – an accredited qualification to equip customers with the knowledge and skills needed to move on and sustain a tenancy successfully in the future. This training programme is  accredited through the Open College Network

The Foyer

Somers Park

Somers Park Avenue is a small house-share, consisting of 3 studio apartments for individual use and a lounge for socialising. Located within walking distance of Malvern Link, providing easy access to transport links and local amenities. 

This option is available for single young people who have limited housing options or who are at risk of homelessness or are homeless and who have the commitment to engage with housing support to learn the life skills required to sustain a tenancy in the future.

Somers Park is suitable for single people who:

  • Have no dependent children who live with them.
  • Are aged 18-21 years or up to 25 years if a Care Leaver
  • Have a Local Connection to Malvern Hills District, although applications from outside can be  considered
  • Can be in receipt of Universal Credit and/or legacy benefits
  • Have a need for housing related support

Somers Park offers:

  • Central location within walking distance of local amenities and transport links within Malvern Link
  • Secure door access
  • A part furnished room for your personal use with a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom and access to shared facilities including kitchen, laundry facilities and lounge
  • Lifeskills training – an accredited qualification to equip customers with the knowledge and skills needed to move on and sustain a tenancy successfully in the future. This training programme is  accredited through the Open College Network

Bath Road

Bath Road is a small block of 12 one bedroom flats, located within walking distance of Worcester City centre providing customers with their own self-contained apartment for a period of up to 2 years.

We provide accommodation and support services for young people who are willing to engage with our Development Coaches to learn the life skills required to help them sustain a tenancy in the future.  

Bath Road is suitable for single young people who:

  • Have limited housing options available to them, are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Have no dependent children living with them
  • Are aged 18-21 years or up to 25 years if a Care Leaver
  • Have a local connection to Worcester City, although applications from outside can be considered
  • Can be in receipt of Universal Credit and/or legacy benefits
  • Have a need for housing related support

 

Bath Road offers:

  • Central location within Worcester City Centre close to amenities and transport links
  • Secure access with CCTV monitoring
  • Off road parking available on a first come first served basis
  • A self-contained part furnished 1 bedroom apartment for up to 2 years
  • Access to housing related support
  • Lifeskills training – an accredited qualification to equip customers with the knowledge and skills needed to move on and sustain a tenancy successfully in the future.  This training programme is  accredited through the Open College Network
