Platform Housing are delighted to offer these unfurnished studio and one bedroom apartments (first, second & third floor availability) set within communal grounds in Victoria Court, a Retirement Living scheme in Matlock.  The studio apartments are suitable for a single person, and one bedroom apartments suitable for a single person or a couple.

Applicants are required to be 60+ or 55+ if in receipt of PIP/DLA to express an interest in these properties.

Victoria Court is set in Matlock, a town which benefits from many local amenities including supermarkets, eateries, as well as great transport links with Matlock railway station just under a mile away. There are bus services which run between Matlock, Sheffield and Chesterfield too.

You will be required to pay one month’s rent in advance of between £615.30-£698.11 dependent on apartment type prior to signing for the property. Please note our preferred method of payment is via Direct Debit and we accept Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.

Please note that if you are claiming Housing Benefit or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include a £43.57-60.48pcm personal heating charge; £7.71-10.25pcm towards cost of administration; £0.27pcm towards cost of TV licence for communal areas and a £7.82pcm charge towards the cost of support. A Lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for Housing Benefits payments.

If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.  

Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.   

If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form. At this stage the Lettings Officer will confirm the rent and service charges.
