Platform Housing has a retirement living scheme called Huntingdon Gardens in the market town of Market Harborough, located in the far southeast of the district of Leicestershire forming part of the border with Northamptonshire. Huntingdon Gardens is a scheme comprising of studio apartments, 1-bedroom apartments, and a small number of 2-bedroom apartments. There is a lift to take you to upper floors and other facilities include a laundry room and communal lounge. Non-resident management staff attend regularly and hard-wired wellbeing call alarm systems are also in place at this scheme.

Immediately available are two one bedroom ground floor apartments. To be eligible you must be aged 60+ or 55+ if you are in receipt of Personal Independence Payments or Disability Living Allowance.

These include a £16.39pcm charge for administration, £15.59pcm personal alarm charge, £5.29pcm communal heating maintenance, £67.69pcm charge for personal heating, £18.00pcm for personal water, and £8.15pcm for the cost of support. If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form.

You will be offered a starter tenancy and if there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
