Our Communities
The housing crisis requires a range of housing solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Across the Midlands, Platform delivers a range of housing options to help meet local housing need and create strong, sustainable communities. Through a mix of social rent, affordable rent and Shared Ownership homes, we help people access quality housing that suits their circumstances and aspirations.
People across the region have a wide variety of housing needs in diverse rural and urban environments. Some require the security and affordability of rented housing, while others are looking for a route into home ownership.
Our operating area
We work in communities throughout the Midlands. Our operating area is split into three localities; Severn, Tame and Witham. Search or click on an area for more information on the number of current homes and any proposed new developments.
Shared Ownership
Shared Ownership provides an affordable route into home ownership for people who may not be able to buy on the open market. Customers purchase a share of their home and pay rent on the remainder, reducing the size of the deposit and mortgage required. It’s a tenure that works particularly in the Midlands, where we focus on offering the tenure via two, three or four bedroom homes

- Shares available from 10%
- 10-year repair warranty support
- 990-year leases
- The ability to buy additional shares over time through staircasing, including increments as small as 1%
