Progress on Hereford Retirement Village

Since we last visited our flagship retirement village in Herefordshire the excavation work has nearly finished and the laying of the foundations has begun.

Due to complete in Spring 2024, the complex will bring 80 brand new apartments plus a shop, cafe and community hall.

Although we own and run many schemes like this already, this is the first village we have created since we became Platform.

Local schools in the area have been asked to take part in a naming competition for the village, taking inspiration from the surrounding area. We'll also be taking our partners Vistry to the schools to help educate the children about safety around building sites.
