Our partnership with Verto transforms project delivery across the housing sector
We have joined forces with Verto, a leading provider of project and programme management software, to co-create a smarter, more effective way of managing complex change across our organisation.
The collaboration began as we worked to establish a more structured and visible Enterprise PMO (EPMO). Early discovery sessions highlighted challenges around resource planning, capacity management and visibility, familiar pain points across the housing sector.
Rather than work around the issue, we helped co-design a more intuitive resourcing module that now forms part of Verto’s core product, a feature benefitting organisations beyond ourselves and driving lasting change across Verto’s national user base.
Jeannysse Biyoghe, our EPMO Manager said: “Verto is a great partner for Platform, we share values and as our partnership continues to grow it is mutually beneficial for us both. The resourcing module grew out of our real world need to understand availability and manage capacity clearly and confidently. What started as a feature request turned into a real partnership, one that’s helped us embed strong governance, automatic reporting and mature our project processes. This transformation is already changing the way we deliver for our customers.”
Verto, whose tools are widely used across the YUK public sector, supports more than 150 organisations including local authorities, housing associations, NHS trusts and government agencies. Its software provides full visibility from strategy to delivery, helping organisations to plan, prioritise and track change in one place.
Our collaboration with Verto has delivered the following:
- Real time visibility of portfolio performance and resource capacity;
- Integrated risk and governance reporting, enabling better decision making;
- Customised workflows aligned to our processes;
- Faster adoption due to co-creation and colleague involvement;
- A shift from manual, siloed reporting to automated dashboards and data driven insights.
Simon Sharp, Chief Executive Officer at Verto said: “Platform weren’t beta testers, they were co-designers. The resourcing module exists because Platform challenged us to think differently. Their insight, honesty and collaborative approach turned a need into a capability that now benefits the entire Verto community. This is the kind of partnership we aim for, one that solves real problems, together.”
Our impact extends beyond our own transformation. We now regularly share our insights at sector events, including the Housing Association Partnership Network – or HAPN – and Verto’s own Housing Association User Forums. Colleagues have also featured on Verto webinars, discussing how we’ve standardised PMO processes and embedded a culture of continuous improvement.
Looking ahead, both organisations see further opportunity for collaboration, especially in workforce planning and delivery pressures around retrofit, housing compliance and repairs.
Jeannysse concluded: “This partnership has been pivotal in transforming how we manage change across Platform; Verto shares our values, they listen, adapt and innovate. Together we’ve built something with impact far beyond our own organisation and that’s something we’re genuinely proud of.”
