Our colleagues have raised a record breaking £51,000 for the NSPCC
Our colleagues have raised a record breaking £51,611.54 for the NSPCC during a year of fundraising activities in support of the children’s charity.
The total is the largest amount ever raised for one of our corporate charity partnerships and was achieved through a packed calendar of fundraising events organised by colleagues across the business.
Activities included a cycle ride across the Midlands, a sky dive, Steptember challenges, Christmas arts and crafts events and participation in the London marathon, alongside many other creative activities throughout the year.
The NSPCC was chosen as our corporate charity partner for 2025/26, with colleagues supporting the charity’s work to protect children, prevent abuse and support young people and families across the UK.
Clare Durnin, our Chief People and Excellence Officer said: “We are incredibly proud of what colleagues across Platform have achieved over the last year. Raising more than £51,000 for the NSPCC is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects the passion, generosity and community spirit of our teams.
“From cycling challenges and skydives to craft events and marathons, colleagues have gone above and beyond to support such an important cause. The NSPCC carries out life changing work for children and young people, and we are delighted to have played a part in supporting that.
“I’d also like to thank everyone who donated, took part in events or supported our fundraising efforts throughout the year.”
Our colleagues nominate and vote for a corporate charity partner each year, supporting causes that align with our values and the communities we serve.
Paula Marshall, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the NSPCC said: “We have been incredibly grateful for the support from everyone at Platform Housing Group over the past year. Raising more than £51,000 is an amazing achievement and will help us continue our work protecting children and supporting young people and families across the UK.
“It’s been fantastic to see the creativity, enthusiasm and commitment colleagues have shown through so many different fundraising activities and we’d like to thank everyone who took part or donated.”
We have now announced that Macmillan Cancer Support will become our corporate charity partner for the next 24 months, with colleagues already beginning to plan a new programme of fundraising activities.
Clare concluded: “We’re excited to begin supporting Macmillan over the coming year and look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts for another charity that provides vital support to people and families across our communities.”
We have a proud history of taking fundraising to the next level—skydiving, cycling hundreds of miles, running marathons, hosting craft sales and stepping up to challenges of all kinds.
The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) has been fighting for every childhood and to prevent child abuse since 1884. Their mission is to protect children, prevent abuse, and support those who need it most.
Our volunteer Fundraising Committee is at the forefront of organising and supporting fundraising efforts throughout the year.
