Customers and colleagues came together in a powerful display of community collaboration during two impactful days of action at Bradley Thursfield Court and nearby Mill Street, as part of our ongoing Communities Connected campaign.

Volunteers joined our colleagues for a large scale litter pick across both locations.  Working side by side, they helped clear rubbish from public spaces, enhancing the environment for everyone and showing what can be achieved when people unite around a shared goal.

Our commitment to working together with the community was clearly on display, with a local Neighbourhood Watch coordinator and other residents already involved in positive plans for the area.  One resident, Frank, shared his idea to transform scrubland sections into spaces for vegetable and plant growing, a move that would continue to boost the area’s wellbeing and sustainability, encouraging residents to take pride in their surroundings.

Nicholas Richardson, our Community Engagement Officer and organiser of the events said: “We are so proud of the work that has taken place in Kidderminster.  By working in partnership with our customers, we’re not only tackling environmental issues but also building stronger relationships and promoting positive mental and physical wellbeing.  When people feel a sense of belonging, it leads to stronger, more connected communities.”

The Communities Connected programme continues to run events across the region, bringing colleagues, customers and partners together to make a positive difference in local neighbourhoods, building deeper community ties.
