Calling all Contractors

Platform has launched a new Strategic Procurement Project to transform the way we work with Contractors to deliver reinvestment and maintenance services to our c50,000 homes. Contracts will start from September 2026 onwards.
The project aims to deliver:
- A clear sourcing strategy that ensures value for money
- Stronger long-term relationships with contractors, built on genuine partnerships
- Greater consistency in services for customers
- Simpler processes that make it easier for our teams to deliver investment and services, and positioning Platform a ‘client of choice’ for our contractor partners
With circa £100m invested annually in property-related maintenance and improvements, this new approach will shape the future of our services – supporting sustainability, social value and the highest standards of quality.
As part of the project, Platform will also involve customers directly in the procurement process. Customers who sit on our engagement panels will be invited to join focus groups, share their views on what matters most and - where possible - interact with Contractors during the procurement process. Their feedback will form a vital part in shaping the tender, appointment and post-procurement accountability.
Opportunities for Contractor Partners
We are now seeking large-scale, multi-disciplinary Contractors across the Midlands who can work in partnership with us to deliver a wide range of services, including:
- Retrofit
- Component replacement (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, roofs)
- Electrical checks and associated remedials (EICRs)
- Cyclical decoration
- Major voids
- Larger responsive works (internal and external)

Contractors are invited to attend one of our upcoming Pre Market Engagement Events. Each session will cover the same information, providing details about the project and the opportunities available:
- 17 October, 12 noon – University of Lincoln (Lincoln)
- 21 October, 10am – Holiday Inn (Leicester)
- 23 October, 10am – Holiday Inn (Bromsgrove)
