Arranging Your Property Viewing

Once Platform Property Care has confirmed that the home is available to view, an Empty Property Officer will contact you to arrange a time and date for a viewing.

Your Neighbourhood Officer will then contact you to provide access details, either by sharing the key safe code or by meeting you at the property. Please ensure we have your current mobile number to facilitate smooth communication.

Accepting Your New Home

After the viewing, you'll be asked if you wish to accept the property. If you do, the Neighbourhood Officer will finalise the necessary details with you, either in person or over the phone. For telephone appointments, you may retain the keys and begin moving in once the call concludes. For face-to-face meetings, keys will be handed over during the appointment.

Finalising Your Tenancy Agreement

A Platform Housing representative will sign your tenancy agreement and return it to you via email, making it a legally binding document.

Preparing Your Home

If the property features gas central heating, an engineer will visit to test the boiler and demonstrate the heating and hot water systems. This appointment will be arranged alongside your viewing. Please note, your gas and electricity supplier will be British Gas. It's important to contact them immediately with your meter readings and ensure there is credit on both pre-payment meters before the engineer attends.
