Platform Housing has a Retirement Living scheme called Henwick House. Conveniently located in the in heart of the St Johns, a suburb of Worcester. Close to many local amenities. St Johns is known as the village in the city and is situated on the western side of the River Severn. Provides road links to Hereford and Leominster to the west, Malvern to the South and access to the M5 North via Worcester City centre or Holt Heath and M5 South via the southern by-pass. Worcester City centre is to the east of the river bridge and is accessible on foot or by Bus.
Henwick House is a scheme of one and two bedroom unfurnished apartments and includes some wheelchair standard properties and apartments with level access showers/wet rooms. There is a lift to take you to the upper floors (although applicants for upper floor apartments should be able to use the stairs in the event of an emergency) and other facilities include lounge, laundry room, guest facilities and garden.
To be eligible you must be aged 60+ or 55+ if you are in receipt of Personal Independence Payments or Disability Living Allowance.

One month’s rent in advance is required on the tenancy start date of £649.28 (our preferred method of payment is Direct Debit). Housing Benefit and Universal Credit is accepted. Please note that if you are claiming Housing Benefit or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include a £1.72pcm administration charge, a £3.60pcm personal alarm charge and a £7.85pcm support charge. A Lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for Housing Benefits payments.
If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form.
You will be offered a starter tenancy and if there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.
If you are a current Private Tenant, Council Tenant or a Housing Association Tenant / (Platform Housing Group Tenant) you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. You will only need to give Notice if you have been informed that you are being considered/offered a property.
