Suitable for one person who is aged 60 and above or 55 and above if in receipt of Personal Independence Payments or Disability Living Allowance.

 

Located just off Geraldine Close in Malvern, a thriving spa town well positioned for Worcester and Birmingham, with easy access to the motorway network and direct mainline trains to London.   

Near to Barnards Green it is within walking distance of a local shopping area which includes a post office, supermarket, chemist and independent retailers and cafes. 

There are bus links in Barnards Green to other parts of Malvern including Great Malvern with its theatre and shopping centre and Malvern retail park. The Malvern Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. is on the doorstep for those who like walking or just relaxing in nature. 

 

Geraldine Court has 24, one bedroom apartments on two floors. Access to upper floor is by stairs although chair lifts are also fitted.  Set within communal grounds, there is a resident’s communal lounge with its own kitchen as well as a laundry room and a guest room that tenants may book for visitors.

Please note, applicants for upper-floor flats must be able to safely use stairs in the event of an emergency.

You will be required to pay one month’s rent/service charges of £718.31 in advance prior to signing and receiving keys for the property. Details will be confirmed should you go on to be offered this apartment.  If you are claiming assistance with your rent there is £9.37 per calendar month in service charges that are not covered directly by housing related benefits. 

The preferred method of payment ongoing is via Direct Debit and we accept Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.

If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for a   lifetime assured tenancy.

Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.

If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form. At this stage the Lettings Officer will confirm the rent and service charges.
