Platform Housing Group are delighted to offer unfurnished studio, one and two-bedroom apartments within our retirement living scheme Arkwright House, in Broughton Astley.
We currently have a one bedroom ground floor apartment available immediately, and a one bedroom first floor apartment coming soon.
All of the apartments are suitable for single applicants who are 60+, or 55+ if in receipt of PIP/DLA benefits.
Arkwright House houses a combination of 33 apartments, consisting of a number of studio and one bedroom apartments, and one two bedroom apartment.
There are onsite communal facilities for you to enjoy such as the lovely garden, lounge and a bookable guest suite should friends or family wish to stay.
Arkwright House is situated within a beautiful village and benefits from being 5 miles from Lutterworth and 20 miles from Leicester. There are local amenities within close proximity and a bus service between Leicester and Lutterworth. The scheme benefits from having a bus stop directly outside of the complex.

You will be required to pay one month's rent in advance on the tenancy start day of between £616.08-£723.41pcm (exact figures vary and are dependent on apartment type). Please note that if you are claiming Housing Benefit or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include £13.16pcm towards the cost of administration; £71.04pcm for personal heating, £16.70pcm for personal water & a £7.79pcm charge towards the cost of support (exact figures vary and are dependent on apartment type). A Lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for Housing Benefits payments.
Please note our preferred ongoing method of payment is via Direct Debit and we accept Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
You will be offered a starter tenancy and if there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.
If you are a current Private Tenant, Council Tenant or a Housing Association Tenant / (Platform Housing Group Tenant) you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. You will only need to give Notice if you have been informed that you are being considered/offered a property.
