I joined the Customer Voice Panel because I think it's important that the people who use services have a say in how they work. A home is such a big part of people's lives, and the decisions made by housing providers can have a real impact on day-to-day wellbeing. I wanted the opportunity to share ideas, raise concerns, and help make sure customers' experiences are taken into account when decisions are being made.
Through my work as a Lecturer, Mentor, and Community Practitioner, I've met and supported people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. I've worked with individuals facing challenges around education, employment, confidence, and social inclusion, which has taught me the value of listening, understanding different perspectives, and building trust. My background in community regeneration has also shown me how important it is for organisations to stay connected to the people they serve.
Fairness and equal opportunities have always been important to me. I want to help make sure Platform considers the needs of all its customers and thinks about every part of the community, including people whose voices can sometimes be overlooked. I hope to bring a practical, balanced perspective to the panel and play a small part in helping shape services that work well for everyone.
