Cohesion with communities Connected
Twice yearly we run our Communities Connected event in all areas where our customers live to help people take pride in where they live, bring people together and bring about a sense of community.
Just this year our colleagues met with some of our customers in Malvern to carry out a Community Garden and Estate Litter pick after litter was seen building up in Elgar Ave and the Community garden.
During the liter pick walkabout, we spoke with customers raising the awareness of the Help Centre support at the football club (temporarily at the Barnards Green Cricket Club).
Our Grounds Maintenance teams cut back overgrown bushes, trees and hedgerows to improve access and reduce possible anti-social behaviour issues in the alleyways and near the play areas.
Working alongside the Councillors and Worcestershire County Council, we have now in place tactile drop kerbs to improve access for those with disabilities and other issues related to mobility, building stronger communities.
