What is the Retirement Village Service?

Our Retirement Village services offer support and advice to manage a home, keep everyone safe, to support personal health and wellbeing, including opportunities for socialising. Platform Housing Group carries out its own housing management function, supporting customers to successfully maintain their tenancies.

As a Retirement Village, Cathedral Park will benefit from the Retirement Village service offer which currently includes staff onsite 24 hours per day. There is a brand-new emergency alarm system throughout each apartment and the building for emergencies, to enable help to be on hand if ever needed urgently.

Safety and security in and around the building is a priority. The building and all apartments benefit from a secure door entry and intercom system.

Visitors and members of the public will be welcome to visit Cathedral Park, but access will be restricted at certain times. Customers are provided with key cards to their apartment and communal areas at tenancy sign-up.

Platform’s Retirement Village services are designed to support ‘independent’ living, so a Retirement Village apartment is for anyone who wishes to live in a home of their own, within a safe and secure complex, with the reassurance of knowing there are extra support services at hand.

Pets may be permitted under Platform’s Pet Policy; however, you would need to make an application to bring a pet with you or to have a new pet. We do appreciate and understand how important pets are, and permission will not be unreasonably withheld.
