We have been shortlisted for four national road safety awards
We have been shortlisted in four categories at the prestigious Brake UK Fleet Champions Awards 2026, recognising our commitment to keeping colleagues, customers and communities safe on the roads.
The housing association has been named as a finalist in the following categories:
- Company Driver Safety;
- Dr Will Murray Award for Analysis and Action;
- Safe Vehicles Award;
- Fleet Team of the Year.
Organised by the road safety charity Brake, the annual awards celebrate organisations leading the way in reducing work related road risk, improving vehicle safety and protecting all road users.
The shortlist recognises our continued investment in fleet safety, driver wellbeing and data led approaches to managing one of the largest housing association fleets in the country.
Matthew Neale, our Head of Fleet said: “To be shortlisted in four categories at these nationally recognised awards is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, professionalism and commitment of our entire Fleet team.
“Safety underpins everything we do. Every day our colleagues travel thousands of miles to support customers in their homes and communities, so ensuring they have the safest vehicles, the right training and the best support is absolutely essential.
“We’re continually looking for ways to improve, using technology, data and collaboration to reduce risk and create safer outcomes for our colleagues and everyone who shares the road with us. To have that work recognised by Brake is something we’re incredibly proud of.

The winners will be announced at the Brake UK Fleet Champions Awards ceremony at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on 30 September 2026.
The awards recognise organisations from across the UK that are helping prevent crashes, improve driver safety and reduce the environmental impact of work related transport.
We operate a substantial fleet that supports the delivery of services to more than 51,000 homes
across the Midlands, enabling colleagues to provide repairs, maintenance and customer services safely and efficiently every day.
