Platform is celebrating after winning an award for our pioneering work using information technology.

Nominees and winners were unveiled live at a ceremony on Wednesday 6 March at The Housing Technology 2024 conference in Nottingham.  With 500 delegates, 65 speakers, 38 talks and 37 sponsors, the event hosted a range presentations and workshops covering data management, digital transformation, IoT, agile infrastructure, cyber security, finance and procurement and tenants as consumers.

This is our second award win this year, following our success at the Housing Digital awards last month in the Customer/Tenant Welfare Innovation category.

Our award entry focussed on identifying and supporting customers most in need and using elements of Artificial Intelligence to improve services.  Examples include the use of technology to flag at risk customers to neighbourhood teams to prioritise health check services and the introduction of a new system that simplifies procurement processes within the finance department.

Jon Cocker, Chief Information Officer at Platform Housing Group – and a keynote speaker at the event - said : “It’s fantastic to receive this accolade in the first year Housing Technology has run these awards.  We are so proud of our team’s work and the collaborative effort across many parts of our business - especially our Housing Operations team – and the real success it has had.  Our session during the conference centred on what AI can do for the sector; we are really keen to continue exploring other possibilities and carry on working together to achieve even better outcomes for our customers.  It’s always fabulous to engage with other housing associations and share our experiences of how technology is enabling our work.”

This was the fifteenth Housing Technology conference, welcoming IT strategists who gained insights, shared experiences, explored collaborations and celebrated how technology is advancing the sector.
