One of our colleagues recently tested his limits of endurance by taking on an epic challenge.

Miroslav Bil undertook the Snowdon 6 challenge earlier this spring along with his friend, Igor Timotine.

They challenged themselves to reach the summit of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, three times in 24 hours.

The duo undertook the challenge to raise awareness of suicide prevention and support those facing mental health challenges.

The emotional challenge was in memory of Miroslav’s nephew, who tragically took his own life on 20 December 2024.

The funds raised – totalling an impressive £941 - will go to CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a leading suicide prevention charity that offers vital support to those struggling, including a free and confidential helpline.

“The challenge we undertook was immensely personal to me,” said Miroslav.  “It was about honouring my nephew’s memory as well as doing something to help others.  Too many people suffer in silence.  I hope our challenge will continue to open up conversations about mental health.”

£12.20 funds one potentially life saving call to CALM’s helpline.

We fully supported Miroslav’s efforts and encouraged colleagues and the wider community to support the challenge through donations, sponsorship or simply by helping to spread the word.

Andy Faulkner, one of our Service Managers said: “We’re incredibly proud of Miroslav; the challenge took enormous strength and we stand with him in both his personal journey and the vital cause he and his colleagues supported.”

There is still time to donate; to support the fundraising campaign visit his JustGiving page at   https://www.justgiving.com/page/miroslav-bil-1735319119348
