A new bistro is now open in a city retirement village.

We have expanded the offering at Cathedral Park with the opening of the Bake and Create Bistro for residents, visitors and the community.

The cafe is managed by Bonnie Collins - and her business partner Cath - who has been delivering meals on wheels in the city of Hereford for nine years. Bonnie started a cake business after having a baby; she wanted something that she enjoyed as well as offering flexibility around childcare. During Covid her business developed into a meals on wheels venture and later a kitchen within a local learning centre.

The bistro will be open within Cathedral Park Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 2.00pm with a mid-week roast every Wednesday. Bonnie and her team will be serving traditional dishes and homemade cakes. Themed evenings will be offered in the future.

This latest opening at Cathedral Park adds to the opportunities the retirement village has to offer; members of the public, local businesses and groups are able to hire out the village hall space and meeting rooms for a variety of events.

Isabella Hadley, Service Manager at Cathedral Park said: “We're very excited about this latest opening. This is the first of several new offerings here at Cathedral Park that will see the retirement village open its doors to the public and community.”

Bonnie from Bake and Create Bistro said: “I’m so pleased to be able to offer homemade food for the residents and local community in this new cafe and look forward to welcoming everyone.”

Cathedral Park is open every day for enquiries and viewings and will be offering more services soon.
