Our development of 38 new, affordable homes in Market Harborough has been visited by Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston.

We worked in partnership with Lindum Group to deliver the homes at the Naseby Square site, offering a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership properties.

Neil O’Brien was shown around the development by our Group Chief Executive, Elizabeth Froude, and Lindum Group’s Darren King. The tour included a visit to the new residents' lounge and communal gardens, which are key features of the scheme.

Commenting on the provision of affordable homes in his constituency, Mr O’Brien said:

"It was a pleasure to meet people in the new houses and see how the previous site of homes and derelict garages has been changed into new affordable housing."

The group also visited new resident Nicola Baker, who expressed her joy at finding an affordable property in the area. She said:

“I feel like I've finally found my place – after six weeks I feel so comfortable here and I’m enjoying the life that Market Harborough is giving me. I love the finished development – it feels modern, welcoming and well designed. Hopefully over time we’ll build a sense of community here.”

In 2023, we partnered with Lindum to deliver 25 affordable homes at the former Rosehill site, now called Sturgis Road, and we continue to serve over 3,000 homes and communities in the area.

Our Chief Operations Officer, Marion Duffy, said:

“These new homes look great and it has been fantastic to reach the point where local people are moving in and having a place to call home. I want to thank Lindum Group for their work and more importantly the local community, whose support has been key in reaching this brilliant conclusion. I also want to thank those officers at the local authority who worked with us on this long-term vision to bring affordable housing to Naseby that has been so well received by residents and neighbours.”

Darren King, Managing Director of Lindum Group, added:

“We're pleased to have delivered these 38 homes at Naseby Square and it's great to see people like Nicola moving into their new homes. This has been a substantial project that required careful planning and coordination, and we've enjoyed working closely with the team throughout to bring it to completion. The team has done an excellent job.”

A community event to showcase the lounge and gardens is planned for 30 July, as more people continue to move into new homes on the development in the coming weeks.
