Construction underway for 150 affordable homes in Gloucestershire
Work has begun on a large site of affordable housing for a village in Gloucestershire.
Alongside Vistry Cotswolds we are delivering 150 homes at Fiddington Lane in Ashchurch.
Ninety of the homes will be available for social rent, with a further 60 for shared ownership. The development is the first time we have partnered together with Vistry’s Cotswold division.
Michael Baggett, our Director of Land and Partnerships said, “It’s great to see work begin on this site, knowing we can soon deliver places for people from the local area to call home. We know the availability of homes for social rent is so important right now and combined with the opportunity that shared ownership offers people and families to get their own place, we’re very excited to progress the development for Ashchurch. This work is a great demonstration of how partnerships will bring more affordable housing to communities that need it most.”
Supriya Ray, Managing Director of Vistry Cotswolds, said, “We’re proud to be working in partnership with Platform Housing Group to deliver high-quality, sustainable homes that will make a real difference to people’s lives in Ashchurch. This development reflects our commitment to creating thriving communities and providing much-needed social rented and shared ownership housing. Through our partnerships-led approach, we’re helping to build a lasting legacy of places people are proud to call home.”
Construction of the homes is in the early stages but the first homes are anticipated to be ready in the early part of 2026 and all homes are expected to be delivered by the Autumn of 2027.
Last year we started work on more than 1,600 new homes across the Midlands and remain on target to achieve the same number before April 2026.
