We have donated £1000 to EDAN Lincs as part of our annual Christmas Kindness campaign.

This year, the £86,000 campaign will support more than 150 local charities and organisations across our neighbourhoods, helping to provide vital support to customers and communities during the festive season.

EDAN Lincs provides essential refuge, safety and support for individuals and families escaping domestic abuse across Lincolnshire.  The donation will be used to help create positive Christmas experiences and special memories for families currently staying in refuge, a time which EDAN Lincs say can be particularly challenging and emotionally triggering.

Claire B from EDAN Lincs said: “We are so grateful to Platform for this incredibly generous donation.  Christmas can be extremely difficult for families living in refuge and it can bring up many painful emotions and memories. This funding will help us create moments of joy, comfort and connection, giving our families the chance to make new, happy memories at Christmas.  These experiences can last a lifetime and support like this makes a real difference to the people we care for.”

Marion Duffy, our Chief Operations Officer said: “Our Christmas Kindness campaign is about supporting organisations that provide vital care and compassion within our communities.  EDAN Lincs offers a lifeline to families at their most vulnerable and we are proud to support its work in creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment at Christmas.  This donation will help bring comfort and happiness to families who deserve a brighter festive season.”
