One of Platform’s developments has been recognised for excellence in quality by a national body.
The Local Authority Building Council have revealed that Mountain Ash Avenue in Scunthorpe has been voted the Best Small Social Housing Development in the Yorkshire region.
The site of just 10 affordable-rent homes was built by local contractor T G Sowerby who has worked with us on number of developments in the region.
Project manager for Platform Christine Storr said,
“We’re delighted for the contractor that their excellent work on this site has been rewarded. It’s a small, tight project that presented many logistical challenges but the team overcame them to deliver some great homes.”
New Homes Delivery director Paula Heately said,
“It’s great to see the work of a local contractor recognised. Platform works with small and medium sized contractors all over our patch and the quality of work in this case just goes to show why we will continue to do so in our delivery of affordable housing. A huge well done to the team.”
The development now goes forward to the national finals at the start of next year.
