Platform Property Care – a subsidiary of Platform Housing Group – has teamed up with Worcester Bosch to deliver heat and hot water services to customers throughout its operating area.
Matt Blackburn, Heating Operations Manager at Platform Property Care explained: “Since the merger of Fortis Living and Waterloo Homes at the end of last year to become Platform Housing Group, changes within the property maintenance arm have been ongoing. This latest initiative will streamline our services across the board, by partnering with one provider rather than many.”
The arrangement will result in a strengthening relationship with Worcester Bosch as well as financial savings. Other benefits will include an increase in the number of boilers fitted, better access to the latest training as well as the ability to trial new technologies as Bosch bring them to market.
The partnership – which will initially run for five years – also includes access to the Approved Service Partner scheme; in essence, this means that warranty repairs can be carried out by Worcester Bosch registered companies, in this case, Platform Property Care.
Matt continued: “The Approved Service Partner scheme is great news for both Property Care and for our customers. For our gas team it means faster access to boiler spares and for our customers it means that in the majority of cases we will be able to resolve a boiler problem on the first visit as the engineer will have access to more of these spare parts as a matter of course.

Figures currently stand at approximately 2000 installations of heating and hot water products to Platform Housing Group’s customers. Platform Property Care also supply a gas service to approximately 35,000 homes which contain a gas boiler.
Establishing Platform Property Care has included bringing gas servicing and breakdown in house to ensure a seamless service to customers; this has already been finalised in both Lincolnshire and Leicestershire; the same is currently happening in Birmingham.
Platform Property Care continues to grow and has ambitious plans to deliver the majority of its maintenance and compliance activities to all its customers and joint venture partners.
